{"id":1,"date":"2016-04-29T01:00:50","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T01:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.snoweleadershipinstitute.com\/oswli\/?p=1"},"modified":"2016-04-29T12:35:39","modified_gmt":"2016-04-29T12:35:39","slug":"mcanuff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.snoweleadershipinstitute.com\/oswli\/mcanuff\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet our new Executive Director \u2013 Christina McAnuff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-557 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.snoweleadershipinstitute.com\/oswli\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/McAnuff_Dec2015_064_HR_Small-400x320.jpg\" alt=\"McAnuff_Dec2015_064_HR_Small\" width=\"400\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snoweleadershipinstitute.com\/oswli\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/McAnuff_Dec2015_064_HR_Small-400x320.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.snoweleadershipinstitute.com\/oswli\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/McAnuff_Dec2015_064_HR_Small-200x160.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.snoweleadershipinstitute.com\/oswli\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/McAnuff_Dec2015_064_HR_Small.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>The Olympia Snowe Women\u2019s Leadership Institute has completed its search for a new Executive Director.\u00a0 From an exciting field of talented individuals, the Board of Directors has selected Christina McAnuff.<\/p>\n<p>Utilizing her incredible mix of experiences, Christina will work to expand the Institute\u2019s programs state-wide and deliver the <em>My Voice<\/em> program to an 11<sup>th<\/sup> grade class that is currently completing the <em>My Values <\/em>program.\u00a0 With the addition of 14 new schools in 2016, the program will grow to impact more than 100 10<sup>th<\/sup> grade girls, as well as the 50 11<sup>th<\/sup> grade girls who will move on to the <em>My Voice <\/em>program this fall.<\/p>\n<p>Christina most recently served as Director of the Global High School Abroad Programs for the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE).\u00a0 Her work included developing curriculum, managing the training and hiring of staff, overseeing assessment of the program, building networks and managing outreach to participating schools, and operational oversight.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this, Christina gained experience in various areas of marketing and communications and leadership training.\u00a0 Her range of skills and her passion for the Institute\u2019s mission make her the ideal choice to lead the Institute through the startup and expansion of its program.\u00a0 Christina\u2019s volunteer work reflects that passion, having served as a volunteer, mentor and Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine, as well as several other youth focused volunteer activities and community boards.<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming Christina to the Institute, Senator Snowe noted that the addition of her considerable skills and experience will help shape the organization as it grows in its early years. \u201cChristina brings an array of skills to the Institute at a critical time in our expansion.
